American University is one of the best universities in the world located in the city of Washington DC, United States. It is one of the oldest private research universities in the US and was established in 1893. The university had been entitled as the most politically active school in the US by The Princeton Review’s annual survey of college students in 2008, 2010, and 2012.
US News & World Report 2017 placed American University in the rank #74 of National University. The university earned the rank according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.
One of the Bachelor’s programs offered in the university is BA in Political Science. Students can choose a range of courses that will be potential to find employment in a wide variety of governmental agencies, consulting firms, and research groups. There are six (6) concentration/specialization programs offered for the students of Political Science: American Government, Comparative Politics, Gender, Race and Politics, Law and Politics, Political Theory, and also Policy. The faculty is well-known for its substantial academic side and in-depth learning.

Students will demonstrate their competences in interpreting, analyzing and evaluating political science research.
