Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University pada tahun 2006 sebagai hasil kerjasama antara Universitas Liverpool dan Universitas Xi'an Jiaotong. XJLTU adalah universitas muda dan independen yang berlokasi di Suzhou, Jiangsu, China dan merupakan satu-satunya universitas berkolaborasi internasional di China yang menawarkan program dual award dari Universitas Liverpool dan XJLTU bagi siswa yang telah menyelesaikan program Sarjana.
Diantara lulusan pertama kampus ini, 96% siswa diterima di universitas terkenal di dunia untuk program Pascasarjana dan doctoral. 10% dari mereka diterima di universitas peringkat 10 dunia. Ada pula siswa yang bekerja atau magang di perusahaan terkemuka di dunia seperti Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank HSBC, Ernst & Young dan KPMG.

- XJTLU's parent university : Xi’an Jiaotong University is consistently ranked within the top 15 universities in China. It was prioritised by the State Council of China in the national Project 211 and Project 985, which both aim to strengthen universities in China to create world-class institutions.
