Tips on How to Get an Amazing Experience in England

Studying in Queen Elizabeth II country is one of an exciting experience for international students. England offers an excellent education quality, beautiful scenery, rich culture and history, multiculturalism, and many other thing that will be a part of the learning experience.


Despite all the preparation you make for facing the cultural differences and living independently, there are times when all the new things around you lead to culture shock that cannot make you fully enjoy this experience. Then, what should you do in order to make this learning experience to be more amazing?

  1. Socializing


Studying is the main goal, but enjoying social life in a new country is also important. Join sororities, clubs, or get involved in campus activities that will give you the opportunity to meet and expand your networking with many students from various majors and countries including local students. Local students can help you get to know better about the country and the city and the international students can help by sharing suggestion or story about facing the difficulties as an international student. They also can be your adventure friends to go explore the city or other places.

  1. Travelling


You live in one of the countries with a strong culture and rich history and in a continent where you can go to another country by train or ferry. Take this opportunity to visit various countries in Europe or adventuring to visit cities in the UK. Use the holidays to visit European countries such as Netherland, Germany, Switzerland, and France. Travelling to a new place can help relieve stress after studying.


  1. Enjoying the changes


Getting some rest after a long day of studying is also important. It will also help you feel more refreshed and ready to learn. Different learning systems can make a person unprepared and overwhelmed. You will need to do more self-study and your knowledge will be tested in one exam or essay. Do not let these differences interfere with your experience and you better enjoy every changes and new things around you.


Many international students are busy comparing the prices in Pound sterling with their country’s currency. Living in the UK is expensive especially if you do not know how to be savvy. Constantly worrying about money does not give something positive in your learning experience.

  1. Try new things


Different foods can be a challenge for international students. This is your chance to enjoy typical British food or other food offers by this British accent country. Join the tradition of tea time, try new snacks, find the best fish and chips, enjoy curry in various restaurants.


  1. Be a tourist


Save your memory of studying abroad by taking lots of pictures at iconic places in UK. You can also run a blog and share your learning and travelling experiences with millions of others who might also plan to visit the UK. (NRK)
