Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is located in Melbourne, Victoria. Established in 1887, the public university was the third oldest institution to have operated in Victoria. The institution originally was only open at night, focusing on teaching art, science, and technology, as a form of Melbourne's industrialization.
