The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. Established in 2004, with the full approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education, they are run by The University of Nottingham with co-operation from Zhejiang Wanli Education Group, a key player in the education sector in China. The China Campus is situated in Ningbo - a city of over five million people situated on the East coast of China. Ningbo is one hour 40 minutes by express train from Shanghai and two hours by air from Beijing.

The University of Nottingham is in the top one percent of more than 7,500 higher education institutions worldwide and league tables consistently rank the University highly. With campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia, Nottingham is a world-class university with a truly global perspective.

Each year an internship fair at Nottingham Ningbo gives students the opportunity to meet with representatives from many different companies who are looking for interns. It's a great opportunity to have face-to-face communication with companies and submit your CV directly to the employers. Some students even get interviewed by employers at the event.

Nottingham Ningbo offers degree programmes from The University of Nottingham, taught in English, which are subject to the same quality assurance processes as in the UK. In total, they offer 29 undergraduate courses and 15 postgraduate courses. The University is equipped with ten research centres and institutes.

The University is situated in a 144 acre (584,666m sq) campus in Ningbo, Zhejiang province and they have three faculties: Arts and Education, Science and Engineering and Social Sciences, with 16 academic schools or departments. The campus has more than 5,000 students with around 650 international students from over 60 countries. The campus at Ningbo provides accommodation, sports facilities and a shopping street and is close to the Central Business District (15 minutes walk).
