De Anza College is a public community college and was founded in 1967 on the site of the Beaulieu Winery and is named after the Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza. Located in the heart of Sillicon Valley, De Anza College is also a part of Foothill-De Anza Community College District, which also administers Foothill College in nearby Los Altos Hills, California. De Anza offers a wide variety of two-year programs leading to an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree. Most international students enroll De Anza to complete their first year and second year level General Education before they transfer to a university as a junior (third year).

It has ranked among the top two-year colleges in the United States with several recognitions such as Export Achievement Award by the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2012, California Professor of the Year, and recently EDSmart awarded the college as “the most beautiful community college” as well “highest graduation and transfer rates in the state”. De Anza has a guaranteed admission into third year at 16 universities, including 7 University of California schools and Cornell.  The college is also known for the diverse student population and excellent animation program that is ranked among programs from universities like New York University, UCLA, and USC.

One of the largest college districts, De Anza sit on 112 acre (45 ha) land and enroll 45,000 students, including 3,800 international from 100 countries. With the strategic location close to headquarters of Apple, Yahoo!, Google, Cisco, Facebook, Pixar, DreamWorks & over 6,000 tech, students of De Anza have plenty of networking opportunites.

During their time of study, De Anza students can explore the many unique attractions in Cupertino, such as California History Center, Cheeseman Environmental Studies Area, Euphrat Museum of Art, Fujitsu Planetarium and Visual & Performing Arts Center. In 2015 Forbes ranked it as one of the most educated small towns, with local public schools ranking highly in the country.

Indonesian students can take a direct or transit flight from Jakarta to the Mineta San Jose International Airport and continue with a 30 minutes land transport to reach De Anza College.
