Dalam bahasa Inggris, salah satu tenses yang paling penting untuk dikuasai adalah Simple Present Tense. Tense ini digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kebenaran umum, kebiasaan, atau tindakan yang sedang berlangsung.

Biasanya struktur kalimat simple present tense sangat sederhana, mengikuti pola Subject (Subjek) + Verb (Kata Kerja) + Object (Objek). Untuk subjek orang pertama tunggal (I), orang kedua tunggal dan jamak (you), dan orang ketiga jamak (they), kata kerja yang digunakan adalah bentuk dasar (V1).
