Beroperasi di 1976, SAE Institute menawarkan sejumlah program di bidang Media Kreatif. Institusi ini diketahui sebagai perguruan tinggi yang menawarkan pendidikan di Teknik Audio karena pemiliknya adalah produser rekaman dan teknisi suara. Hingga hari ini, SAE, meskipun berbasis di Australia, telah memiliki 53 kampus tersebar di 27 negara.

Program di SAE diakreditasi oleh Pemerintah Australia. Terlebih lagi, SAE menekankan seberapa jauh ilmu yang dipelajari dapat diterapkan sehingga pengetahuan dapat digunakan. Untuk program, SAE menawarkan pembelajaran fast-track untuk pelajar yang ingin bekerja dan mulai berkarir lebih cepat. Dalam dua tahun, dengan berpartisipasi secara intensif di satu program, pelajar akan memiliki kualifikasi yang dibutuhan untuk bekerja dan dipekerjakan.

Program dibagi dalam bidang studi berikut: Animasi, Audio, Desain, Film, Games, dan Web & Mobile. Program yang dimiliki berkisar antara gelar sarjana, diploma dan sertifikat. Akreditasi diberikan oleh Commonwealth of Australia Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA). Sedangkan untuk program keterampilan, diakreditasi oleh Commonwealth of Australia Australian Skills Quality Authority (AQSA).

Kampus di Australia berlokasi di Adelaide, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Perth, Sydney, dan Melbourne. Selain itu, SAE juga berlokasi di Austria, Bangladesh, Belgia, Perancis, Jerman, dan banyak lagi. SAE Institute Australia sangat menonjol dalam fasilitas. Jika pelajar mengambil jurusan audio, ada Studio-1 Pro Control Mixing Console untuk memudahkan proses rekaman. Fasilitas lain termasuk perpustakaan, ruang seni, film crane, dan ruangan live.
